Vicki Milbrath

Throughout her career Vicki has chosen professions that have allowed her help others and take a leadership role.  She currently is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor and co-owner of Family Resources Associates, Inc., an out-patient mental health clinic located in Watertown and Lake Mills.  Prior to her current career, Vicki worked at Rainbow Hospice Care, taught an at-risk program at Jefferson Senior High School, and spent 11 years working in law enforcement, 8 of them as a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy.

As a volunteer, Vicki has been a critical incident stress debriefer, an Emergency Medical Technician for Sullivan Area First Responders and the Helenville Fire Department.  She volunteered on several occasions to go to New York City following the 9-11  attack as a Chaplain in the Red Cross.  She volunteered with the Red Cross as a Disaster Mental Health Professional for Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and returned independently in 2006 to continue with the recovery efforts in Mississippi.

During the summer floods of 2008, Vicki was the Jefferson County Emergency Management Flood Volunteer Coordinator.  In this role she opened and maintained the family assistance center with the help of many other volunteers.  The assistance center provided many needed resources to the victims of the flood.  She worked cooperatively with the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army along with many local agencies, businesses, and other volunteers throughout the county.  During her volunteering, Vicki continued to maintain her full time job as a Licensed Professional Counselor demonstrating her ability to balance multiple, and sometimes conflicting, priorities.

Vicki has a proven track record of bringing real help to real people.  Her life experiences and background have prepared her to work on your behalf.  She would consider it an honor to be elected and be your advocate as your State Representative.
